In this activity, students watch and listen to Obama's victory speech in the 2012 election. In the first phase, while listening to Obama's speech, they have to complete the transcript with the missing words. Then they are expected to find in the text simple descriptions of the "function" of some members of Obama's team (Joe Biden, Michelle,...) and match them with the images. Some exercises then make students focus on peculiar expressions of the English language and on a couple of grammar topics (past simple and adverbs).
