ILR Level 1/2 Roleplays

These 8 ESL role plays are designed to challenge learners at ILR (International Language Roundtable) Level 1 or 2. The difference between these levels is the degree of resistance created by the teacher/examiner (in the role of the clerk, waiter, etc.) to the solution(s) proposed by the learner. At level 1, there are no complications (unless the learner inadvertently creates one). At level 2, the teacher/examiner must create at least one problem, so that the learner's first attempt to find a solution cannot be accepted.
