It's an easy reading exercise. It is quite difficult to find a text suitable for adults who are on an elementary/beginner level. I've used the following tenses: present simple, past simple and continuous and future simple. My suggested questions to follow the reading are:
1. Who are Amy and Mona?
2. Where do they live?
3. Where did Amy and Mona go to talk?
4. What were the problems with Amy's trip?
5. Did you have any similar situations in the past?
6. Could Amy do anything better?
