Dialogue and Role Play Exercise (Friend Wants to Borrow Money)

This is a dialogue and role play exercise. The dialogue sets the pattern of talking in English, and leads gently into the role play exercises. The whole thing took 1 hour for my Chinese middle school pre-int (almost intermediate) students. As a reference, the same class has played the well-known "alibi game" (see https://m.busyteacher.org/18896-whats-your-alibi-role-play-past-simple-vs-past.html) and I would say they found this easier. They managed with much less Chinese than in most lessons. It is designed for pre-int to intermediate, but might be suitable for smaller elementary classes, who are almost pre-int level. It could  be also used for upper intermediate, perhaps as a lead-in to something harder.
