I have designed this PowerPoint based on the first chapter of Anne of Green Gables, Penguin active reading, level 2. My students studied the first chapter at home. Then, in the classroom I play this PPT. It includes three parts. First, I have students answer three questions about the setting and main characters of the story. Secondly, they are asked to answer some questions. Next, I have them talk to their partner and guess what will happen in the next chapter. Hope it helps.
