This is a simple activity I came up with and used with my Elementary class. The purpose is to have the students practice writing sentences with 'there is/are' as well as remind them of the difference between countable and uncountable nouns (which I had already explained to them).
I asked my students to write sentences about what there is or isn't in the picture. They did this individually, but the activity might be done in pairs, too. I then asked them to report orally on what they wrote.
