Adjective Prefixes: Im-, In- and Un-

Students have to put the adjectives in the relevant boxes marked im/un/in - initially the teacher should do some pronunciation work, drill the students on word stress etc and check the meanings (dictionary work) then pair learners off to complete the task. Write up im - un - in on the board then get learners or eraly finishers to write the answers on the board. The follow up activity is putting the words into context with a brief speaking activity to follow.
