Students need to not only be able to read the high frequency Outlaw Words (sight words); they also need to be able to spell these phonetically irregular words. The Outlaw Words Spelling Assessment is a uniquely designed spelling dictation assessment of the 108 highest frequency sight words. Students write out the story dictated by their teacher. The teacher corrects the 108 spellings and records the misspelled words on a recording matrix (included) for simple progress monitoring.
