This activity involves watching a video on YouTube (see below). In the video (12mins) a pilot talks us through the different stages of flying and the sounds and noises associated with the airplane. You can stop it after each section and let the students answer their questions.
Before watching the video introduce the idea of onomatopoeia to the students then talk about the vocabulary in the table on the sheet. I left the onomatopoeia definitions blank for students to fill in. After reading the questions watch the video and listen out for the answers. There is a bit at the end for the students to write about what they think of flying. This could be made in to a lesson about flying/airplanes/holidays.
