Making Comparisons: Teach the Comparative and Superlative Form

This handout is designed for students of the A2 level or Elementary. There are some points that I did not include in my handout, such as modifiers for comparative and superlative, because this handout is designed for their first contact with these degrees.
I included the rules for the comparative and the superlative forms and I enhanced the handout with pictures and different colors to attract their attention. After teaching them the rules for the comparative and the superlative, the third part of the handout includes some exceptions that the students should be aware when they are forming these degrees such as irregular adjective formation, or adjectives with more than two syllables. I included several types of exercises to enhance their understanding of the comparative and superlative degree such as questions-answers, gap-filling sentences, sentence completion exercise and text gap-filling. Exercises offer the opportunity to practice what they have learned and if they have any questions or difficulties along the way, I can detect them from their answers to the exercises and provide further explanations and examples.
