Tired of basic mistakes produced by my "advanced" students, I decided to take advantage of Busy Teacher's "warmer of the day: Bankrupt". I was hoping that turning these mistakes into a competition, my students would become aware of them at the same time they had fun. So I created this game in which students compete against each other identifying mistakes and choosing correct answers. I included some "jewels" like "the hole universe", "my English class is funny", and "its a good idea". At the end, students create their own quiz using choice pairs of words, which they swap to test their understanding. I used it with three groups and they enjoyed it a lot. One group even asked for more!
