I use this template with all levels of secondary school students to practise vocabulary. The students take their current vocabulary lists, create a crossword puzzle with a set of 10 words and then come up with English definitions for the words. At the end, they trace the outline of their grid, number the words in ink and erase the words they have written in pencil. Then the crosswords can be shared immediately or the teacher copies them several times to give each pupil more practice.
