This PowerPoint helped my students write better. With the help of a hand, they managed to acquire rules of writing. Show them your hand, tell them that the thumb refers to introduction, next three fingers body (paragraphs-but not necessarily three) and the pinky finger refers to conclusion. Each finger has its specific linkers. Explain them that they should vary in the choice of words,not using always the same ones. Hope it helps.
