It is played the same as a regular Battleships game in pairs. Students mark their fleet (I laminate my worksheets for students to use erasable markers) and use either different design or different colour to mark their hits and misses. They ask questions and if they hit - receive a positive answer (Yes, I did. Yes, I was...) if miss - a negative one (No, I didn't. No, I wasn't....) and mark accordingly. As a motivation before introducing the worksheet I do the Hangman (guessing the word "Battleships"¨) - plan of the lesson and then I play a short YouTube video "Battleships - final battle" from the movie (2:30min). It makes students more excited about the game. Hope you enjoy playing it with your students. :)
