Olympic Games – Logo design history

The worksheet focuses on the history of Olympic rings, their design and significance. The activity is organized around a video and focuses on developing listening comprehension. Tasks include listening, restoring the sequence of the sentences in the script, and gap-filling activities. There are comprehension check questions that students answer using the active vocabulary they worked on in previous tasks. Assignments give an opportunity to develop speaking skills and focus on phrases used to express opinions or make predictions as students try to match the logos and posters form the Summer Olympic Games to the years they were held in or match the posters to their descriptions.
