Comparatives: Adjectives, Adverbs, “As … As” Structure

This worksheet lets students practise the form of comparative adjectives and adverbs, and using “as +adj/adv as” structure for comparing. In the first exercise students choose an adjective from the list and transform it to a comparative adjective or a comparative adverb to complete the sentences. Then they use these sentences in the second exercise and rewrite them using the “as … as” structure for comparisons, so that they mean the same as sentences in exercise one. There is an answer key.

Example:

1. Ferraris are ____________ than Fiats.

2. The weather in Kenya is ____________ than in Italy.
