Classroom Issues Role Play - Great For the Back To School Lesson

This is a set of 20 cards, each has a situation on it, a role to act out regarding their attitude to learning. I find it a lot of fun to hand one to each student and have then let them think about their role for 3-5 minutes. After that have you can have them mingle - walk around and find themselves a partner to talk to. It may be a good idea to have some sort of bell ready that you would chime every couple of minutes - tell them that when they hear the bell they should change partners.

Example roles:

1) You want more tests. They are important to know how you are doing and what you need to correct in your English.

2) You hate drills and the phonetic chart – why waste your time on symbols aren’t even English?

You are more than welcome to use these role play cards any other way you like - please tell us in the comments if you come up with some nice idea for this activity!

Enjoy!
