Used in conjunction with the My Favorite Taste worksheet (also available in my worksheets), this is a great two part activity. Use Taste Match! to introduce different foods and their associated flavors (sweet, salty, bitter and sour). The students must place the words in the correct box. To add a little more critical thinking, follow-up with the My Favorite Taste worksheet. This allows the students to discover the different tastes and their associated flavors and then personalize the information by writing and drawing about their favorite flavor and foods. Used with first grade students at an international school.
