Where the Wild Things Are: Guided Writing Worksheet
The activity combines different activities. I start with having the students watch a part of the film (00.20-00.45) and ask them to tell me what they have learnt about Max. Then I distribute the worksheets and the activities that follow are: putting the events in the correct order while watching a part of the film (10.25 - 31.55), writing a summary of what they've seen in the form of the story using Past Simple and Past Continuous. My teenage students wrote the story in groups of 3 or 4 and then, as homework, they wrote their own endings to the story. They really liked it and proved to be very imaginative.
