We invite you to become a guest writer and write for us on a long-term basis! Each of our 'ESL Essentials' articles normally gets around 1000-2000 views a day, and you can be sure by the end of any given week your guest article will be seen by more pairs of eyes you can even imagine!

HOW TO SUBMIT

Submitting a guest article is really simple. Here's how you can do it:

  • email it to [email protected] with 'BusyTeacher Guest Article' as the subject of your email.
  • submit it as a worksheet with the article attached as a Word document

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN

We allow guest authors to add a short bio at the bottom of the article together with a back link to their website.

Advantages of writing a guest article:
Branding yourself: When you write a guest article for BusyTeacher, you get noticed by our new and regular readers which is an excellent exposure for you.
Back links: We allow you to post 1 link to your blog or website ("nofollow"). This is a quality beneficial backlink that can easily become additional traffic to your site.

REQUIREMENTS:

Requested Word Count: 1000 words or more
Topic: related to teaching ESL/EFL/TOEFL/IELTS/FCE/CAE/CPE/TESL/TEFL.
Re-publishing Terms: your article must remain never republished for the lifetime of BusyTeacher.org.
Content Freshness: your article must be unique. We will not accept articles that have already been published on other websites or appeared in print.
Linking Policy: only one link to a relevant educational website is allowed from the author's bio. We'll use "nofollow" when linking. We do not allow outgoing links from the body of the article, though we encourage cross-linking with other BusyTeacher.org articles or worksheets.

General guidelines: provide some advice, list useful teaching tools or offer a solution to a relevant teaching issue.
What we ask is a unique perspective, a unique style and/or a unique angle.
Send us a few ideas, and we'll get back to you with which of them we would prefer.

ERROR CORRECTION:

Sometimes guest writers send us articles with typos and grammar mistakes. To ensure our readers only see top quality articles, BusyTeacher.org reserves the right to edit the guest articles. We may also add contextual links to the related articles on BusyTeacher.
We also reserve the right to reject a low-quality or irrelevant article. However, we'll do our best to contact every author and explain why his/her article cannot be published, and what steps can be taken to improve it.
