Tic Tac Toe (To Practice Any Tense)

This is a great activity that you can use as a warmer, as a review activity or even as a filler. It can be used in ANY level to practice any tense for affirmative, negative or questions. It's a grammar tic tac toe worksheet. Each table is a tic tac toe. You can print it out and cut every square (the tic tac toe) give it to a pair of students so they can say aloud the correct sentence or even write it down. If they write/say the correct sentence according to the square and tense. If they do it correctly, they get to put an 'X' or a 'O' on it. In order to win the game a student must place 3 of their marks in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row.

For example:

Let's say student 1 chooses 'I (work)' and we are practicing 'the present continuous' so he/she should say or write a sentence like :"I am working in a school" and since that's correct, he gets to place his 'X' on that square. Now it's student 2's turn. Let's say she chooses 'Pedro (sleep)' so she says or writes "Pedro is sleeping on a couch" and, since that sentence is correct, she gets to put her 'O' on that square. Both students should continue until someone wins.
