This can be used as a pre-task to the power point presentation that I provided entitled "Celebrities". Go through the pronunciation of the countries and the nationalities outlined on the worksheet. Be sure to point out that nationalities are divided into groups such as 'ese', 'an' etc. (it may be a useful way for them to remember some of them). Also, if necessary, you may review the structure re: expressing country vs nationality. The worksheet can also be used as a follow up writing activity to the power point presentation. After practicing orally using the prompts on the ppt, instruct your students to write five sentences about their favorite celebrity. I found that using this in conjunction with the ppt proved to be effective in checking their writing and speaking skills as well as addressing problems associated with mispronunciation.
