This worksheet shows how jokes can be used in ELT. It encourages collaborative reading and writing, which can be followed by a speaking activity. Students work in two groups. Each group gets one joke which is cut up in 8 pieces. They should first rearrange the sentences to complete the joke, read it out loud and then rewrite it - make it shorter and more effective.
