This worksheet is for pair work. It can be used for introducing or training headline vocabulary.
1. Divide the class into pairs.
2. Give out a set of cards (Card A and Card B) to each pair.
3. Explain that they already have half of the table done – these are the answers for the partner.
4. Students complete the tables individually with headline vocabulary matching the appropriate headline word and its meaning given in the box.
5. After the students finish the table they check the correct answers in pairs.
NOTE: If the students are familiar with the words, they can skip the writing phase and take it in turns reading the meanings they think are appropriate and checking at once.
