This is a simple exercise to practise student comprehension and inferring meaning from key words and phrases. It can be done in pairs with the students taking turns to read aloud, or the teacher can read for the whole group. Each extract has a question which has to be answered. Later the students can talk about the vocabulary that helped them answer the question.
